Sr. Electronics Technician
The Opportunity:Silvus Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electronics Technician to participate in the hardware design and implementation for a set of world-class OFDM, and MIMO based products. Application space includes WLAN, WiMax, and emerging cellular systems. The selected individual will be part of a highly dynamic group that is at the forefront of delivering multi antenna based solutions to both the military and the commercial sectors. He/She will work closely with design engineers (both hardware and systems engineers) to ensure a high fidelity reliable end solution.
This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial minded individual who is looking to take on a greater and diverse set of challenges associated with a highly dynamic startup environment.
Technical Responsibilities:- Electronic hardware (digital, analog and RF) testing and trouble-shooting.
- Assembly, rework, and debugging of PCB boards.
- Putting together mechanical assemblies for prototypes.
- Schematic capture and layout of simple boards, enclosures, etc.
- Execute on and help define reliability tests and other QA procedures.
- Interface with outside vendors and fabrication houses to procure parts and to ensure timely delivery.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of typical laboratory test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
- Familiarity with soldering station and excellent rework skills.
- Experience with using C/C++ or other scripting languages for automated test is desirable.
- Prior exposure to wireless communication systems is a definite plus.
