Silvus Technologies Opens New State-of-the-Art Development Facility
Awarding of major defense contracts and new commercial engagements drive Silvus growth
LOS ANGELES, February 21, 2008 — Silvus Technologies, a leading wireless design services provider and commercial supplier of semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) solutions for complex wireless applications, has opened its new state-of-the-art research and development facility in Los Angeles, Calif.
The 5,600 square foot facility is unique in that it houses a software development lab as well as a wireless test lab, enabling Silvus to not only develop the most advanced RF software and code but also to test it in a real world RF environment. "Due to our success in the defense industry, we have seen major growth over the past year," said Babak Daneshrad, chairman, president and CEO of Silvus Technologies. "This new facility will allow us to rapidly develop and demonstrate the benefits of Silvus' technology, continuing the momentum behind our mission to design for and advance the wireless connectivity market." Silvus Technologies has recently been awarded a large, multi-year contract for 'Mobile Network MIMO' (MNM). Due to the size and volume of the work entailed in this contract, Silvus will also expand the engineering department, growing executive-level management as the company enters the commercial IP product and services market.
The new Silvus Technologies facility is located at 10990 Wilshire Blvd., #440, Los Angeles, Calif., 90024.
